me adapto :)

After a week of being here and yesterday’s earthquake, i find it a good time to finally write a post and let you know how are my first days here in Valparaiso Chile 🙂

First of all, it’s a cultural shock for me to experience the difference between Europe and Chile! In the first days we had a car, the one that Pancho and Rayen rented t pick me up from the airport. We used to go a bit more north of Valparaiso and we visited Horcon through Quintero and Concon. Horcon is a small village that got bigger when ‘hippies’ started to go there to enjoy the beautiful water and the freedom that a small village could provide them. A nice hand-craft market lays at the edge of the village and small shops are over the beach.

We also went to Colliguay, a really small village east of Valparaiso with a nice lake 🙂
Valparaiso is something I’ve never seen before! The streets are loud, the drivers anxious and so many people selling stuff! The buses are crazy! They drive really fast and they stop wherever! The fair is different depending on where you go and every bus is a unique experience! I got into buses with laud south America music and pictures of Jesus but also to others with rock music and poster of Kiss :p You can ask the driver for a smaller fair and many times this works even though the fair is never more than a euro 🙂

The food is amazing! Empanadas are amazing (i’m going to eating an empanada after this post 😀 ) but also fish, sea shells and everything you would like to try. Ah! also completos! Which is a hot dog basically but much more nice because.. i guess because i’m here!

The city is amazing, full of colours and cute houses! It consists of many hills so there are many many stairs and the building are everywhere, there are buildings that are so much at the edge of the hill that seem like flying.  The internet is not so easy. There are no wifi spots and is more expensive than europe. There are internet cafes that you can use and cost around a euro per hour.

ok, i’m hungry so I upload some pictures of the city and i go to to eat something!

Kisses from Valparaiso!
